Consent to Participate in Research

___I understand that participation in this project requires a minimum age of 18 years.

___I understand that my participation in this project will involve stating my attitudes to a variety of topics, which will require approximately 15 minutes of my time.

___I understand that participation in this study is entirely voluntary and that I can withdraw from the study at any time.

___I understand that I am free to send any questions I have to the researchers who conduct this study by email (see email address below). I am free to withdraw or discuss my concerns with the researchers by email.

___I understand that the information provided by me will be held totally anonymously, so that it is impossible to trace this information back to me individually. I understand that, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, this information may be retained indefinitely.

___I also understand that at the end of the study I will be provided with additional information and feedback about the purpose of the study.

___The researchers involved in this project do not have expertise in clinical diagnosis of mental health disorders as they are researchers and not clinical psychologists. Therefore, you should not regard completion of the mental health questionnaires as a clinical screening procedure. If you want help for any personal issues then please contact your GP or consider counselling, the Samaritans, or the Red Cross.
